Terms and Conditions
1. The property is a holiday rental equipped for a maximum of 6 persons. No person or persons, who are not specifically named on the booking form shall occupy the property or grounds at any time, unless prior permission, in writing, has been given by the owners.
2. To reserve the property you should complete and sign the booking form and return it together with a deposit of 20% of the total cost of rental. This deposit is non-refundable and therefore we strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance at the time of booking to ensure that, in the event of cancellation for whatever reason, you are able to make a claim to recover any payments made.
3. Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, the owners will send you written confirmation. This is your formal acceptance of the booking.
4. Eight weeks prior to your date of arrival you must pay the balance of the rental outstanding. If you fail to pay the balance by the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled. Any bookings made within eight weeks of arrival date must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
5. At the time of paying the balance, you are also required to pay a refundable security deposit of £200, in the form of a seperate cheque. This is to cover damage to the property or its contents, or failure to leave the property clean. This security deposit cheque will be returned to you shortly after your departure, after the property has been checked by our management company. In the event of cancellation of the booking, this security cheque will be returned to you.
6. The rental is inclusive of: hot water, bed linen and wash towels. (Guests are asked to bring their own pool towels as these are not provided). Electricity is inclusive in the rental, for arrival dates commencing after 1st May and ending by 30th September. However electricity is an additional charge from 1st October to 30th April. The meter will be read on the day of your arrival and again on the date of your departure, and will be charged to you at cost.
7. Bookings are on a weekly basis running from Saturday to Saturday. Arrival time is after 4:00pm on the first day of letting and terminates at 10:00am on the last day of letting, or at such other times as shall be specifically agreed with the owners.
8. Cancellation by you, must be in writing, signed by the person who signed the Booking Form. In the event of cancellation being 6 weeks or less, prior to the arrival date, 50% of the total cost is due. If cancelled within 4 weeks of agreed arrival date, the full rental cost is due. We again strongly recommend that your insurance policy includes provision for such cancellation.
9. We reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your booking. In such an event, we shall refund all monies paid to us.
10. Guests are required to treat the property and its contents with respect and to leave it as they would expect to find it, clean and in an orderly state. If it is not left in a satisfactory condition for the next occupants, additional cleaning charges will be deducted from their security deposit. Guests are responsible for the disposal of all of their rubbish, including bottles, and any sacks left for disposal will incur a charge of £5 per sack. (There are a number of large disposal bins at the roadside, on the road to “Valmar”).
11. The use of the accommodation, equipment and any other amenities on site is entirely at the guests risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage, to the guests personally, or to their belongings (including vehicles).
12. The swimming pool is for your private use and available only for bookings that commence after 31st April and terminate by 30th October. A security alarm has been installed for the protection of young children. It is the responsibility of guests to set this alarm during the rental period and to be able to respond to any activations. In the interests of safety the owners enforce a strict policy of no glassware or crockery to be taken to the pool or pool terrace area. Plastic glasses and plates etc, are provided for the pool area.
13. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property.
14. No pets are allowed in the property or on the grounds.
15. The owners shall not be liable for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the property or within the grounds, or any loss, damage or injury which is the result of: adverse weather conditions, act of God, riot, war, fire, flood, industrial disputes, port, station or airport closure, epidemics, government action or other matters beyond their control, which prevents fulfilment of the contract by the owners.
16. Any breach of these conditions will allow the owners the right to terminate the tenancy, rendering the guests responsible for the rental due and for any damages incurred.
